A mystery, a decision, and finally paradise. Santiago de Chile: A storm is brewing over the city. Photographer Trinidad Faber is sitting on the edge of his hotel bed holding a letter from a man he believed to be dead for the past 40 years. The letter is from his father who wants to see him again.
Confused and deeply disturbed, Faber flees to the south of the country in an attempt to forget the past. To Patagonia with its wide steppes, the Straits of Magellan, the unique Torres del Paine national park. The countryside and the people there remind him of his life so far. He knows he has to make a decision.
Finally, prepared to face his past, Faber travels to Greece and sets out in search of his father. What he finds is the long suppressed story of his childhood. But does this mean he’s found the truth about his disturbing remembrance of past pain?
“As breathless as a thriller, as expressive and evocative as a travel story by Theroux or Chatwin, as intoxicating and addictive as a film by David Lynch.” (Klaus Bittner, Buchhandlung Bittner, Cologne)
