Inspector Jerry Crinelli and his pregnant wife move to a small village in the back of beyond. They want to start a new life and receive a friendly welcome by the villagers. But a sudden and cruel murder of a young unknown girl destroys the idyll of the village.Crinelli tries to solve the murder but the farther he gets with his investigation, the deeper he gets caught in a wallow of corruption, self-importance and intrigue.
