A Breakfast Egg With...

For this collection of interviews which were first published in weekly “Die Zeit”, Moritz von Uslar has has been inviting prominent figures for a morning chat for the past five years. Moritz von Uslar’s art consists of creating a wonderfully relaxed, casual and intimate atmosphere for a conversation, in which he then confronts his guests with their image, questions about politics and culture and simply with his inimitable Uslar interview style. The result is a detailed psychogram of the interviewee as well as a portrait of German politics and society.

His unconventional choice of interviewees includes professional opinion-makers (Anne Will, Sahra Wagenknecht, Jan Böhmermann), Berlin-based hipsters (Ronja von Rönne, Helene Hegemann, Joko Winterscheidt), artists and intellectuals (Katja Lange-Müller, Ulrich Matthes, Doris Dörrie, Diedrich Diederichsen) as well as a few unexpected interlocutors (techno-DJ Marcel Dettmann, chef of Paris Bar Michel Würthle).
