When a Bavarian begins to discover the world, it’s pretty funny – for the world. For as long as Michael Mittermeier has been able to think, he’s been a beginner, at home and abroad. His first day of school, his first time, his first vacation as a couple, his first performances – initially at home, then throughout Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Today, Michael Mittermeier is on the road around the world, as a tourist and comedian. From Cape Town to New York, Paris to Moscow, he throws himself into one adventure after another. He gives being a secret agent in Burma a try and survives his first performance for 400 drunken Brits without air support. In the face of a Viennese waiter or eye-to-eye with the great white shark – the inner comedian is always alert, finding foreign customs and familiar nonsense.
