I Think, They Weren't Looking For Us

The Tagesspiegel called him »one of our most imaginative, eloquent and politically sensible narrators.« With this collection he again proves this opinion right. After Ich dachte, sie finden uns nicht (published in 1997), this is Jens Sparschuh´s second collection of smaller pieces of prose, produced during the past seven years and partly unpublished. He visits different authors and places or retraces constructs of ideas. Agile, fleet-footedly and quick-wittedly, he changes notations and mindsets and gives enlightening insights, questions existent facts and makes mentalities and methods accessible. Included in this title is also a major article for a SPIEGEL-special called Space, Earth, Mankind and I, which could well be the title of this book, since it marks the dimensions and relations of the contributions gathered in this volume.
