Under-the-table work is the reason Frank Goosen became a Beatles fan. With the words “Don’t give me money, give me a few records for my boy instead!” Goosen Senior asked an electronics retailer for whom he had installed some electrical outlets after hours to pay him with Beatles records. And that was it for his 13-year-old son. Goosen retraces his lifelong obsession with the “Fab Four,” recalling his childhood and youth in the Ruhr district and the original locations in Liverpool: knowledgeable, touchingly personal and extremely funny!
